Location of Adj FPR???

I have a -8AN feed line coming in on to one side of the rear rail, then have a -6AN crossover on the front then out the back on the other rail, I think its a -8an fitting on the other rail for the return line. I have a Aeromotive adjustable FPR I need to mount somewhere. I was just going to get a -8an 180deg hose fitting and run say 12-14" of hose to get it close to the throttle body area and fab up some kind of bracket. But my friend heard this idea and said that it needs to be as close to the rail as possible to be most accurate. He bolted his FPR directly to the rail itself. However he has an LS1 and his return was on the front of his second rail. So is it really gonna be that big of a deal to have a foot or so of line from the fuel rail and the regulator.

Any ideas??

Re: Location of Adj FPR???

I don't find that it hurts. I run the -6AN return line off the diagonal crossover pipe, and the Weldon AFPR is under the cowl at the back of the engine. My fuel pressure gauge is tapped off the passenger side fuel rail, between #4 and #6, so I have a fairly good indication that the rail pressure is holding constant.
