Little weird problem can anyone help

ok i have a 95 trans am and when i start the car the low oil light comes on and it runs horrible for 2-3 mins, then starts running fine and if you turn the car on for thirty seconds to a minute then shut it off and start it back up the light goes off and it runs fine i havent looked into it at all it just started doing it about two days ago and i havent driven it since but i dont know what else it could be other than a sensor.

You got longtubes. It is possible the wires got cooked. The wires are wrapped but anything is possible. Check the wiring.
I have a Canton pan and the sensor is so close to the header that you can't plug the connector in so I put the sensor in, cut the plug and made a pig tail so I can connect and disconnect the low oil light. If I change the sensor, I will have to remove the header
After I cut the wire I wrapped everything in the foil reflective tape.

The obvious thing would be to check your oil level. Have you done that? It might not have anything to do with the way it runs, but .... Also the light is going to go out by doing what you are doing, because of the way the system works. The engine has to be off for longer than that to reset the indicator.

ya i actually pulled over right when it came on and checked the the oil on it, it was fine and i have checked it several times since, (i used to drive a 5.0 that used oil bad and have a habit of checking oil all the time... it is a good habit though). Where is the oil sensor at?

The Oil Level Sensor is located about 2" above the oil drain plug... more or less. It is on the same side of the pan.

My oil level sensor pigtail was factory loomed under the oil cooler lines to the radiator which keeps them tight to the engine.
