Question Little help please, starting issues

Well this is the second time it has happened to me in the last 3 days. I go to start my car and it cranks over just fine, but it will not fire.

The car has a full tank of gas and it turns over fine it has power etc. I can hear the fuel pump when the key is in the On position. Could it be plugs/wires?

I was going to order a set of OVC wires from ThunderRacing and swap out my plugs and wires, or should I check something else first?

BTW, I finally got it to start after about 10 mins had past.

Thanks in advance

I forgot to add that I changed my fuel filter about 3 weeks ago and the car had been running fine up to this point.

Also I was going to buy Bosch+4 plugs is that a good/bad idea?

Thanks!

Unhappy

Well I put up with mine for a year or so. If it starts better with a full tank than half or less, starts better if you turn the key to the on postion and off several times it is probably your fuel pump. Get a pressure check to make sure, but those were my symptoms and hey I am cured now with a better pump (less cash though )

Next time it happens I will try turning the key on and off a few times to see if that makes a diffrence.

Where can I get my fuel pressure tested?

Thanks for the response

You can either buy a guage kit or go to any mechanic. Does it start easier with a full tank?

It just started happening, the first time was 2 days ago I think. I dont drive very much so I still have nearly a full tank of gas. It hasnt droped below 3/4's tank of gas.

Then the easiest thing is get a guage on it and see what happens. It could just be the regulator or something else. Mine definitely never had the problem with a full tank so hopefully it is something else with you.

Glad to help. Sorry I know why. The pump change is a bad thing unless you just like loosening the rear and removing the exhaust.

Mine was the fuel pump and others have had that symptom as well. Put a guage on it to find out for sure.
