A little cloud of smoke

Ok guys. I just had the engine in my 94 Z replaced, LT1 longblock. Car runs great now. I just have this one problem: when I punch it and go to passing gear I get a puff of smoke out of the exhaust. I cannot tell if it's blue or white, it's not big enough to really tell. I just had my pcm scanned, no trouble codes, no warning lights, nothing. I do have a strong smell of fuel as the car idles though. Car is completely stock with no mods. I don't know if the charcoal canister needs to be replaced or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like it's a tad on the rich side at WOT. Any way you can get it on a wideband or maybe make a dyno pull on it to see what your A/F is?

I'll have to find out where a shop is that has a dyno around here. What do you think about the fuel smell? Need a new canister or fuel pressure check needed?

Check for fuel leaks around the canister or lines. Check to make sure the fuel lines are all the way down on the fittings on the fuel rail.

How long did your fuel injectors sit between the engine swap? Fuel injectors don't like to sit around.

Check what others have said, but I'd venture to say that you are probably just running a little rich.. stock tunes tend to be that way...
