mine were LT1 castings with ferrea valves 2" on intake 1.56" on exhaust. my numbers were made with stock bottom end with 143k miles and a untouched intake.

he is excellent with contacting back and forth via emails, and phone... i will throw my money in that direction when i have it

 

I’ve been following this and frankly I think the vast majority are missing it. It appears each porter:

1. Does very good work and are honest.
2. Have separate pricing points attaching different customers.

The last two sets of heads I purchased and later had independently flowed were way off from what the flow sheets said. In other words……. I got ripped off. The dyno showed it also.

I WAS going to purchases a set of super duper LT4 heads by another shop and the flow numbers were WAY OFF what the shop said they would be after flowing on an independent flow bunch.

BTW….. ya, I’ve heard the old argument that flow bunches can be different. However, when your 30-40 cfm off the enclosed flow sheets and when they are compared to heads sitting on the floor side-by-side and the ones on the floor flow as specified…. It doesn’t hold water.

Anyway…… Instead of acting like a bunch of spoiled children, you need to get on your knees and thank both shops for producing what they say they produce and getting what you paid for.

A whole lot can’t say that. Myself included.

What are the specs on your cam? What cam does AI have for an A4? I was looking at Combinations 224/230. I believe the cam specs are .536/.544 on a 112 LSA. I've got an A4 and no stall. If I do end up going with a stall it'll be a 2800. Thanks for the info. above, I appreciate it.

Lloyd always comes out on top for customer service, as for work done I have to say it looks like they are the same, I think I missed this thread or something but my Lloyd heads look beautiful, with an off the shelf cam GM847 I made 401RWHP & 370RWTQ, so I say I did darn good using heave ZR1 wheels 17X11 with 315's & this is through an single exhaust with cut-out, no dual or missing belts or anything, straight up street form with heavy wheels & 4.10's which eat up the horsepower aswell.

Since I"ve gone with his LE3 cam & the car feels quite a bit faster so I'll hit the dyno soon

On what basis is Lloyd's customer service better than Phils? Just curious, because I've had nothing but GREAT service from Phil/Ron...

 

Man both of them have spent time with me on the phone at length. Wouldnt say one is better than the other, both are outstanding in terms of customer support and info.

nothing against AI but I think I'll be going with Lloyd just because he seems to be putting out damn near as good numbers as AI and he's quite a bit cheaper
