well, with my sig, i'm gonna need bigger injectors (30lb), so i'm gonna order that soon, but i was wondering if there's gonna be a bottleneck effect if i dont replace the stock fuel pump as well? the pump is a year old.

injuneer said that a fuel line pressure regulator can increase the power of 24lb injectors to equal that of a 30lb, but he neglected to tell me what the downside of such a modification would be...so, can anyone help with that?

also, anyone have a part # for such a device?

Your stock pump should be fine at that power level. I'm not sure how well the stock pump will run constantly at higher pressure (that certainly could be one downside), but it sounds like you've decided to get the larger injectors instead.

But if you were to raise the fuel pressure, you'd need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator (any of the online vendors sell them), as well as a re-tune of your computer for the pressure. So in either case (bigger injectors or higher pressure) you need a new program.

I'd go with the larger injectors, assuming you even need them (I'm one of the guys that's run 24lb injectors at high horsepower with no ill effects...)
