Question 383 Stroker kit

How much does a good, reliable 383 stroker kit cost? And where can I get one? And about (just an estimate) how much would it run to get installed/tuned/balance and all the bells and whistles? What kinda numbers will I be laying down? I found some on ebay for about 700 bucks, but that seems kinda cheap. Anyway, thanks and God Bless

I saw one recently on www.thunderracing.com for around $2,000. I don't know how much it would cost to get in installed.

There are a few ways you can go about doing this. You can check with some online retailers like Combination Motorsports or Nu-Tek (check the vendor index) and get a recommendation and quote for parts. Or track down some local shops and check them out. If you find one with a good rep with LT1's, go in and talk it over with them. They can usually get the same parts you're looking for for less, as well as handle the install for you (I'd go this route, personally). Check the regional board here for your area and see if anyone has some experience with you local shops.

Being in SC, there should be plenty down there that can handle the job.
