lifters for k-800 springs?
Re: lifters for k-800 springs?
I used those springs on a very mild setup in my 85 Firbird. It was a small cam, about .450 lift, with el-cheapo mellings lifters. The lifters were fine but the springs were junk. In less than 10,000 miles two of the springs snapped in half for no apparant reason. I'm guessing that they'e not meant for everyday use judging from the description and the insanely low price. It could have been a manufacturing defect, but I'll personally never buy them again.
Re: lifters for k-800 springs?
Ive ran 4 sets of them, 3 onmy own stuff and 1 on a freinds. I used comp Rs on all mine and had no problem. My freind used the Speed pro replacement lifter (HR) and they came apart within 4000 miles. We measured seat pressure at the installed height od 1.85 and it was 160#s. I have had them on my 383 for about 2 and a half years.
