Lifters.

So exactly what lifters can be used on my LT1 I've read the ls7 ones work so does this mean all LS based motor lifters will work like ls1 or ls2 ect. will work? I can get a deal on some and just need to know what will work in my car.

It's been said that LS1 lifters were stock replacements for the LT1s, and that LS7 lifters are replacement for LS1s. All an LS2 basically is an LS1 with a little more displacement and LS6 heads. So I'd say it's safe to assume that any lifter made for the LS series of engines is safe to use on your car, short of the LS9, or LSA.

The only thing you really need to worry about when replacing them is that the pushrod lenght may change because of the deeper cup on the LS7 lifters. I checked mine when I did my cam swap and I was able to use the stock 7.200" pushrods, but I've heard of other people needing to go to a different size.

When using LS7 lifters over LT1 lifters, the pushrod length will vbe affected by less than .010". Not a big deal. The cups sit a bit deeper in the bodies on LS7 lifters, thats all.
