Alright, this might be a newb question and i have been searching a lot for the correct answer but here it is. I was trying to set my valve lash and i know i went too tight. Do the lifters spring back up when u let pressure off of them? How long does it take?

Help guys i really need to know! I have gone to tight when setting my valves and i need to know if i can loosen them and start over again.

 

Should be nearly instantaneous. I would start over, loosen them all and check to make sure you have collaped any.

 

Adjust valve lash while the car is running. It is wayyyyyyy better.
