need longer dowel pin, what to do?

im gonna sell my 230/236 to some guy locally, but he told me he has a 96 z28. i need to know how to get a longer cam dowel pin cuz i had to grind it down for my 93 t/a. any ideas on how to go about this?

Hardware store, or engine machine shop would be your best bet.
You know you didn't have to grind this off. Just press it into the cam farther.

guess i'll head out later on today to the hardware store and try to pull out the damn thing enough to get it the right length. or just take it to the machine shop

Do you have a vise? Mine came out rather easily with one.

You can order the longer dowel pin from GM, but I don't know the P/N off hand.
