Lifter Question

Well it seems no matter how hard I try i cannot get my rockers quiet. It seems that I adjust them then bam way outta wack. So i am starting to thing the stock 90k lifters are collapsing under a load. I have a 224/236 with 612 springs. the duration on a 1.6 rr is .536/.555. What do you all think?

Re: Lifter Question

My cam is about the same duration and lift as yours and when we put it in last year we just used new stock style lifters...I thought they were noisey too, but Joe said that they are supposed to sound like a sewing machine. Thats exactly what mine sounds like, and they've been adjusted twice...After 90,000 miles I would've replaced them...

Re: Lifter Question

Not a lifter problem but a poly lock tightening problem or something is wearing pretty fast.
