Lifter adjustment/New Cam

Lifter adjustment/New Cam
1996 LTI
Installed LT4 Performance Hot cam. I had the intake off while adjusting the lifters and tried to follow the instructions from the chilton book and the lifters that we were supposed to be adjusting was on top of the lobe not the bottom. Yes we had it TDC and everything was lined up and set up the way it was supposed to. My question is does the Hot make the lifters ride on the lobe differently than a stock cam in a way that u can't adjust them in the order u are supposed too? Example, we were at TDC and on the first pass we were supposed to adjust exhaust valves 1,3,4,8. The number 4 exhaust was on top of the lobe so we couldn't adjust at that time.
We ended up adjusting all of them that was on the bottom and turning the crank until we could adjust the rest. The car is running and back together but how do I now adjust again without taking off the intake. I know u can do it while the car is running but i was just concerned about the cam not lobing up the same.

Try another method. There are several listed on my Tech Page.
