Flywheel of rear wheel HP?

You need to reduce the list to things that actually affect HP. Listing the interior and exterior mods just confuses things.

What do the ported heads flow? Who ported them? Who tuned it.... mail order or dyno? What are "faves"? What is the static compression ratio? Shorties?

You aren't going to reach your 500HP goal with 24#/HR injectors.

Re: lets play the HP game

To make it alittle more difficult we will make it to the flywheel. I posted this late lastnight and some things were typos, ive deleted the things i thought werent needed but i did leave the suspension section.

And i will have 24# hr injectors untill my car physically gets onto the dyno because im going to have my dyno tuner try and crank every bit of power out of my z28.

Im really suprised no one else has chimed in

Re: lets play the HP game

Why is it harder to estimate at the flywheel? That eliminates concerns about the trans, converter lockup, rear axle ratio, etc. To me that's a lot easier. An auto trans also corrupts the peak torque, with a huge surge/spike when the converter is multiplying torque. The guys that built my engine won't even show torque values for chassis dyno results through an auto trans.

Look at the real list of things that determine power:

Engine:
-Ported heads (gasket matched and casting flash smoothed on bowls)
-Ported intake
-BBK 52MM TB
-24# bosch injectors (have 36# GTP injectors going in for the dyno)
.....
-Scorpion 1.6RRS
-SLP air lid
-K&N filter
.....
.....
-BBK headers
-ORY pipe
-custom grind comp cam224/236 540/554 114LSA WITH 1.6RRs
.....
.....
.....
.....
.....
.....
-Flat top pistons
-Bored 0.040 over
-Throttle body bypass
.....

Re: lets play the HP game

Everything else is posted aswell because on when i dyno the car it will help with the rear wheel estimate aswell. If its easier for you with flywheel hp whats your guess?

I am going to say 405 hp at the flywheel. Low to mid 12's with street tires.

Re: lets play the HP game

Without knowing any details of the heads, compression ratio, etc. it's impossible to even guess. But I will say that the two flywheel guesses above are in the ball park. No way it's going to run low 11's unless you get the weight down to about 3,000# w/ driver.

Re: lets play the HP game

My heads are flowing at

Intake .600/238
Exhaust .600/176

Which isnt bad for a home port job and not touching the bowls at all!
