Question Length of stock "vented" Cam Dowel??

Hey,
I just got my 306 today, and am trying to make sure I dont need to have the dowel cut down. I measured about ~.650, and am wondering if that is the length of the stock dowel's for vented opti's, Thanks.

That's about right.. It's normally safe to set it at ~ 5/8" or so. So you might be a little safer to tap it in just a little bit. Happy Gilmore style!

You can go shorter and be safer than longer. Id go to .620 to be safe.

Cool, thanks for the replies guys. I guess I will just have to check the old cam when I pull it out, but this dowel seems like it should be fairly close.
