Question Jet hot longtube ?'s

I ordered and just recieved the headers(ahhh so pretty) and have a couple questions.First im going with felpro gaskets, o2 extensions and stage 8 locking header bolts. Now I was wondering what are the correct stock #'s for the gaskets so i make sure I get the right ones. My other question is what o2 connection does the 96 z use? Is it the square or flat connector? Also how long of a extension will I need?

You like them now...just wait until its all installed I believe they are Fel-pro 1406. You need (2) 12" flat 4 pin connectors, the rear (post cat) o2s have the square connector. If you need some o2 sims let me know because I have some that I used for roughly 300 miles and no longer need. I am from Mahtomedi, so let me know if you need a hand with the install! ( I will be home in 2.5 weeks for xmas break so if that fits your time frame let me know.

Chris

P.S. Do you know about http://www.mnfbody.com ?

I bought my O2 extensions from jet hot for $30/pair. They just gave me a good length. It was maybe 18-24 inches

O YES!!!I could definitly use a hand with the install considering it's my first time. Yeah I'll ive ya some cash for the simulator and for you helpin me out with the install. I guess all I need to do now is get the felpro gaskets and the 02 extensions. Yeah I've been to the mnfbody site many o time. I was actually planning on joining when spring came around . I've already met one of your members here in maplewood(mmm white 95z with ghost flames, borla exhaust, and many other goodies...beautiful car). Got another question. The tools required for the job...I got a 3 ton jack,4 jack stands, set of ramps and a good set of hand tools. Is there anything else i should get? BTW the car is located in Brooklyn Center in my sisters garage for storage right now and no worries im gonna get that garage nice and warm for the install. If your could email me your phone # that would be great i'll email you mine. Thanks for the replies and your help man...I got a couple of lackies here but they know less about cars than me(lol not good).Someone with some experience would real help thx.

I would also like to recommend you put the felpros on dry, and retighten after you drive it around a little while , after it cools. then your stage 8 s will give you no trouble whatsoever.

Just my 2 cents - You'll be much happier if you go with a crushable "dead soft" aluminum header gasket over the Felpros...Summit Racing and Jegs both sell these gaskets. The brand I used were Percy's. I've used them twice, on two sets of headers, with no leaks. Oh...and the Felpros leaked....

I just had my Jet Hot LT's installed & this is how it went down. Felpro large D port gaskets, stage 8 bolts had to be returned as they wouldn't work with the 1 3/4 dia. tubes, ARP one [1"] long 6 sided header bolts, O2 extenions that I got from Jet Hot, 1/2 " removed from K member on pass. side for clearence. EGR & o2 fuction turned off. Bullet muffler added after install as it really got loud. But your going to be real happy with the results.
