length of OTVC wires

This is a really long shot here, but does anybody happen to know the exact length of all 8 wires that need to be cut from the universal Taylor wire kit if I have the made for you over the valve cover kit and jet hot LT's??

No just hook them up to plug and route properly then cut before insertion into opti. I paid to have it done but could only route 6/8 due to PCV. Watch the wire near the dip stick as it will arc if too close.

No it won't... What do you think your valve covers are, or half the "metal" things it comes into contact with.
You had a brain fart

yeah it will,

that dipstick gets hot when its next to headers.

You should keep it away from as much metal as possible.. espeically hot or sharp corners

If your wires are arching in anyway shape or form. Something is wrong. You should be able to grab your wires with your hand and not get shocked. (Don't try that, cause if they're bad it hurts like a ****) But think about it. Your wires touch about 4 other metal objects and yet you are focusing on the dipstick.

The head of the plug wire where it connects to the plug was hitting the dip stick. I took out the slack and its running GREAT on all 8 now.

Alright, your situation may be different. But I will stress this one more time. If your plug wires are arching (in any situation) then there is a problem. If it is arching close to the head, you probably have cracked ceramic on your plug. This usually is the result from them being dropped. Weither you did it, or the parts store.

OK, I'll check it out. It's running great but anything's possible. I saw the spark jumping from the 90 degree plug connector to the dip stick.

I don't believe it, my thread was hijacked!

just kidding. It was a stupid question in the first place. I just figured lazy ole me just might find someone who measured their wires. I guess everyone routes them differently anyway. I've seen some route them DIRECTLY behind the alternator and some go under the alt.
oh well.

GLAD YOU GOT SOME INFO OUT OF IT ORRINKER!!

It's true and I did. Thank you. Good luck but you are correct, each wire must be custom made as you do the job.
