Left Bank Rich?
Left Bank Rich?
Guys/Gals,
Have a slight problem, I am running very rich on the left bank pegged around 108 while the right bank is perfect around 126-128. Seems to only happen at idle and when the rpms go up the LTerm counts even out on both sides. Anyone know what could cause this? I have tripple checked and no exhaust leaks, brand new O2's and I have swapped the O2's as well from side to side and the problem stays on the left bank. Could this be a sticking injector maybe? Let me know your ideas and here are some specs on the motor:
LT-1 - 383
CC305 Cam
AFR 195 heads
SVO 30# inj

The BLM drops to 108 when the PCM believes that bank is running rich. But the O2 sensor can only "see" oxygen, not fuel, so a leaking injector may not cause the O2 sensor to indicate a rich mixture. 108 is as low as it can go, so it might be worth looking at the short terms for the left bank as well, to see if they are spending more time below 128 than above.
Exhaust leaks and misfires cause a "false" lean and drive the BLM's up, not down.
What throttle body are you running? Some seem to cause problems with "spilt" BLM's at idle. The cam doesn't look big enough to be causing reversion problems.
