Lean hesitation on '95 LT1

I've been trying to fix this for some time now. When I tip in the throttle abruptly, the engine consistently stumbles, even backfires. The wideband shows a spike up to ~18/1 A/F ratio instantaneously. I have 84 lb/hr low impedence injectors and the Acceleronics impedence converter. The car runs fine otherwise. Any ideas?

Your tip in fuel is lean, like the acceleration pump on a carb.

Not exactly other than let Ion or Bryan have it for a tune.

I guess I'll double-post. . . I'd rather not let someone else do the tuning on my 850+ fwhp turbo motor.

Oh I like this problem.

Here is how i fixed it. With tunercat I went in and opened up the %TPS to enable PE mode table. Then in the RPM range I was experiencing this problem I just lowered the TPS to like 25-30% instead of 60% which is A LOT of throttle. So now when you want to get on it PE kicks in and compensates earlier which should prevent that lean stumble.

Mike
I know what ya mean.
I let one guy fool with my shop car WITH me there, because he has the equipment to reflash the computer. I know what I want it to do and tell him,he pushes the buttons. He is also one of the best in the country,if not the best on Fords and has a 8 second ride. I built his last one and he flipped it and he bought this one built.

I can ask him if ya want.

Re: Lean hesitation on '95 LT1

I just checked and mine are set at 42% from 1600-2400 rpm. With those settings I dont run in PE mode while cruising.
