Leaking tranny
Leaking tranny
OK, I already asked this question sort of but heres another take. I took my car into the best transmition shop in town cause I screwed it up.
After replacing the pan gasket twice I couldnt get it to stop leaking. They said that the pan on the 4L60E has that reputation and they sold me a new pan with an intergrated seal for $15. Anyway, I havent had the oppertunity to install the pan yet, but the biggest problem I've been having since I first started this is the cars unwillingness to shift under full load. If I floor it and hold it down, instead of shifting out of first it bounces off the rev limiter and then shifts. Under normal acceleration though its fine.
Anybody heard of this kind of thing before? I'm curious how much fluid should generaly go back in. I've been adding about 3 quarts since I dont flush it and thats showing full on the dip stick. Would it have trouble shifting if it were really low on fluid? Any help or experience would be greatly apreciated. Thanks
