Thumbs down Leaking Coolant Hose

Well, I started smelling antifreeze about a week ago, I thought it was just the bleeder screw since there was coolant around it, so I tightened it down. So today I take a nice drive down to walmart, smell it again, there's a nice puddle under my car when I come back out.

So I check under the hood and it's that one small hose coming from the passenger side of the water pump. It's got a couple of those big metal crimp things in it as it snakes it's way back to (I'm assuming) the heater core. It's leaking right next to the pump...

So what do I need to replace? Can I buy that thing in sections, or does it come all in one piece?

Same thing happened to me after a cam install. I just packed the end of the metal swedge where it meets the hose with black silicone and let it sit overnight. Took care of the problem until I get a new set of hoses.

Does anyone know where I can get new stuff though?

The guy at advance auto tried looking it up in the computer and nothing came up- is it a gm only part or something???

You can buy the whole heater hose assembly from GM..
OR Dremel a slit carefully in that swaged clamp[it's aluminum] and split it off, then get a short piece of heater hose [or a small elbow if you're fussy] and clamp that on there.. it's just 5/8" or 3/4" heater hose really
And you're lucky.. that one is fairly simple to get to.. I did all the hoses ON THE CAR that way [felt like a brain surgeon on those rear heater hoses]
Changing the entire heater hose/pipe assembly is a job[lot's in the way there]
I do have the GM hose p/n's [they DO come seperately, or as an 'assembly' with the heater pipes also]and the heater hose assembly p/n's somewhere if you need those.. just would have to find them..
The Goodyear Hi Miler set is OK too for about 100.. has all the hoses but one is missing[engineering error on their part]

OK I get it so I get to play customizer again...
Oh well I guess I won't have to replace the whole thing then.

Thanks for your help.
