Sweet deal. There are a few guy's here running 383's on spray, I know one for sure is using stock unported trickflows and runs low 12's high 11's and on spray he's gone to a best of 10.60's on a 150hp. I know you're running a 383 with the LE3 package. Lloyd told me this
"The 355 is the way I would go. A 383 will just restrict the RPM range since the LT1 castings feed the 355 better. A 355 car will end up being faster. Just get good pistons and rods/bolts. An aftermarket crank is nice if you have the budget. Just keep the engine from detonation on NOS and you will be fine." Although I did plan on using a new pro comp scat crank and there 4340 6" 7/16 rods with Mahle pistons.

I'd say I would have to agree with what Lloyd says about the LT1 castings.

On the combustion chamber on the heads though, with it being n/a and using possibly a 200 shot, what size cc on the heads would be best for that?

I dont mind having the rmp down a little from the 355. Hell, I dont like revving that high anyway. But the extra torque of the 383 will help greatly with my 3800# heavyweight. But I did have lloyd do a little extra work to the castings over the normal LE3 job

Its a secret

Naw, I just had the pushrod area welded up for a little more volume in the intake runners. Hopefully it will let the stroker breath a little better.

You'll be happy. I ran a '96 Vette with 3.07 rear gears, LE2 heads/cam and a 75hp shot (2800 stall) at a tick under 11.9 sec and a bit over 120mph with 127 degree track temps.

It'll improve on that with some gearing.
