LE3 dyno number/ track times

Finally got the car dyno tuned a month ago and ran it at the track mostly for grins. First of all a big thanks to Scott at A&S automotive and motorsports, in Keller TX for all the help, he did a good job and gave me a good deal. And to Lloyd for making a good product and for all the helpful advice over the phone. Run conditions where at 87 degrees with 51% humidity. It put down 418rwhp and 408 torque. I squeezed a 150 shot on it and it made 547rwhp and 550 torque . On motor I ran a 12.41 @116.8mph, with a 2.2 60-ft Pretty bad i know, but im hoping that on a cooler night(lower than 90 degrees) and some good 1.6 60 foot times it might dip into high 11's around 118-119mph. Not bad the car runs hard on the street, what does everyone think?

Re: LE3 dyno number/ track times

Those are some real nice dyno numbers but it looks like you need some practice launching and some suspension work. I don't think you will get into the 11's with a 2.XX 60' but the 116mph is good for 11.50's or better. Goodluck Later

Try to get a bit more HP out of her, my 350 stock is made 420rwhp, dyno numbers in sig, but not as much torque as itès only a 350.

383s arent going to dyno much higher than what a 350/355 will. the torque production sure makes it fun though

you're running pretty good. better than what my LE3 383 ran but I had 4 failed comp R lifters and then spun a rod bearing

That is incorrect.
The last 383 I dynoed made 567 to the tire and it was not a max effort. Try that with your 355- on motor.

I think ya can find more with tweaking 'cause it does sound a bit low.
If I am giving the LE3 cam what I think it will make.Do ya have LE3 heads?

15-20psi of air,get um good and hot,(no dry hop) pull it to the line, bring it up to 4000 and sidestep the clutch. It will either leave like a rocket or sit there broke depending on your rear end.

Where did I say anything about stock casting. The last one of those with a 383 under them made 504 with 486 TQ.

At R&D Racing size DOES matter.

If ya gonna build one build it right.

"O" it's not like Texas where all things are big.
