blow headgasket from wrong thermostat?

since the lt1 is reverse cooling, if you put a regular thermostat in it. would you blow a headgasket? what would the consequences be of this error? thanks

No, it should not cause blown head gaskets. You may or may not notice a difference. Some do, some say they don't. You should definitely run the correct LT1 thermostat, though.

I've heard installing the older style thermostat can cause overheating which could blow a head gasket in some cases.
