Re: LE2, LE3 what's difference

I was reading the websites package discription and I believe it was said the LE3 was better for a 355 but on the site it says you should go with a 3500 stall and a 4.10 rear end. So would this not be the package for a 355 with 3.42's and a 3200 stall?

LOL good job way to get everyone riled up with the LE4 Bret lol
That would make what a stock short block hit 500rwhp.

I'm still waiting for his secret heads......they are suppose to make 500rwhp @ 4,000 rpm on a stock bottom end. I have a feeling I'm going to be waiting a long time...

Right, the LE2 package would work much better for you.

The LE packages aren't like the next stage of parts you buy for your car on GT4, they are actually matched to a certain car setup. You don't want to go real big with the heads and cam when your car is not matched up to it because it will end up slower, not faster.

Bret if I'm gonna be running a sts set up on this 355 would the LE2 still be a good idea or would the LE packages not be a good idea?

Yeah we can just build a turbo cam for it.

Re: LE2, LE3 what's difference

Forced induction makes up for heads that are more restrictive. sts + stock heads + turbo cam if you are not going totally wild with the build

Actually I'm trying not to go totally wild on the build. I want this car to still be as close to daily driveable as possible.

Well the thing that ported heads do is minimize the flow restriction and so the motor will allow more CFM to be pumped into it at lower boost levels. Boost PSI is basically backpressure.

Re: LE2, LE3 what's difference

I have an LE4 custom cam with my special LE3 heads. Too bad the temp is in the mid 80's at midnight, and I dont have the motivation to brave the heat and get the thing running.

I need to knock a hole in my garage wall and install a window ac unit. Then maybe Ill finish this before summer ends
