Denny, I was using a datamaster and was recording my knock counts . The first run the counts were going crazy. I started pulling back timing across the board and the car started making more power. I just pulled back too much up top I think.. Like I said, I really need to get back up there and tweak on it some more. But, I'm happy w/ the improvements it's made overall . I've got the a/f dead nuts flat @ 13:1 . Sending you a copy of the graph now.

Sounds like you got some work ahead of you . You're still gonna stay hydraulic right? I know what you mean about cams. I went through about 3 myself last year.
If you had ruined three engines trying to solid rollers on the street you'd be doing a hydraulic cam also. Damn right I am. Got the R lifters with an AFR Hydrarev kit and it currently rev's real clean to 7K. We'll see if we can figure out the right lift and duration.

Send the dyno sheet but it sounds like your on the right path. You got my e-mail address or do the ratsden deal.

Damn, you're one cam swappin ****. Keep after it and I think you'll hit 400rwhp.

I sure hope so.....

It's a 12.3 to 1 compression 398ci motor with some decent stuff like thermo barrier coated Trick Flow heads that are in the second round of porting, coated pistons, etc. etc.. Bret Bauer designed a cam for it but based upon my past experience and the powerband I'm trying to replicate, I may need a little more intake duration. It will be a hydraulic cam as I致e had horrible luck with solid roller cams on the street. All total think this is my 13th different grind for LTx engines so I知 getting a bit of a feel for them.

Waiting on the heads to be redone and we値l throw everything together and see how it does on the dyno. Hoping I知 wrong, but if not....... we'll just yank the cam out and go for number 14. Not a big whoop.

But I'd venture it should break the 400 rwhp.

That reply was actually directed to Shawn, but I guess it (cam swappin ****) also applies to you. You shouldn't have any problem w/ the 400rwhp mark.
