LE2 Dyno & Track Numbers

I have been working on getting all the bugs worked out of my LE2 setup.
Last time dyno, was 400 RWHP and 361 RWTQ...This is on STOCK valves and beehive springs with the LE2 camshaft.
After I did some tuning and fine tweaking some stuff,
New numbers are 415 RWHP and 381 RWTQ.
Car feels amazingly fast.

I also took it to Houston Raceway Park, ran a couple of passes.
Best motor pass was a
11.7 @ 118
1.70 60 ft.
Had some issues with the nitrous system, WOT switch became loose and didn't hit nitrous in the top of 3rd or any of 4th
Still went 11.1 @ 128
No full numbers as the car is not legal to run those times, no fire jacket or 5-point harness....

Thanks again to Lloyd and Bret for all their help and outstanding customer service and providing an LT1 package that performs!!!!!!

Very nice, I'll bet you can't wait to get back to the track for a full nitrous pass.

Re: LE2 Dyno & Track Numbers

Lloyd told me about this already... pretty dam good man! 415rwhp with 260cfm heads and that small of a cam is pretty sick, just how it's suppoda work!

I heard about your numbers at amarillo already and I was guessing 11.65-11.75, you know what the DA was at Houston on your runs?

Re: LE2 Dyno & Track Numbers

Jposeph,

thank you for getting all of the right parts (TB, inj, headers, etc) and spending the time to get the car tuned correctly. These are the things that make the real difference.

Pretty AWESOME #'s for stock GM 1.94/1.50 valves and a cam that makes as much low and mid range power as that thing does. VERY streetable and still hauling ***. Hard to beat this head and cam package for $1400.

Marshall,

I think that was with 150 HP pills but like he said, the micro switch jacked up and he only sprayed 1st and 2nd gear. He was gonna fix the switch and make another pass BUT he was told he could not run any more so he decided to make that 10 hr trip home instead. Maybe next time he can get some full passes.

Re: LE2 Dyno & Track Numbers

The DA in Houston on my runs were 600-800 ft.
A pretty average night for Houston, Nothing awesome.

The nitrous pills were a 150 shot, And like above stated, it only sprayed first and second gear.
At the point on the 11.1 run, They had discovered I did not have all my safety equipment, such as blow down, fire jacket.

I have the nitrous fixed, plan on taking to Amarillo Dragway, Which is considerably slower than Houston, But would still like to make some full nitrous passes.

I am very VERY happy with the setup and numbers.
I dont believe there is another LT1 heads & cam setup to make these numbers.
Major Thanks to the guys that put this setup together...I just installed and tuned it....

Thanks for all the compliments.....

Great numbers, I would also like to know what TB and injectors you are using.

Re: LE2 Dyno & Track Numbers

Thanks for all the compliments

As far as the TB and etc...

58mm BBK Throttle Body, Intake is ported for TB only, No runner porting....
Walbro 255 lph pump & FMS 30 lb. Injectors ( I will be moving up on these, Injector duty cycle is near 90% at 6700 )
Hooker Long tubes, Off-Road Y-Pipe and Open cut-out.
And then a bunch of odds and ends that help out...
Car also has a LS1 lid conversion with a Fast-Toys style ram air...

The car made 417.xx at 6600 or so but the dyno spiked so when he let off so we chopped the graph down to 6500 and thats what the 415 was at...Car was still climbing at 6600 when it had 417.xx but I decided to claim 415 since that is what my graph shows....

Torque curve is insane on the setup, well over 350 Ft. Lbs. all the way across the board from 3000 to 6000

Thanks

Joseph
