Thumbs up

She's gonna take some getting used to. Tires are of no concern to this motor. She breathes very healthy.

I cant wait to get it to the track so I can find out what my weakest link is!!! HEHEHEHE.

I mentioned before I need to weld in LCA Brackets then it should be ready. I was frustrated to see that the k member either shifted after I'd lined it up or my scribes sucked. Firestone indicated that they couldn't get the alignment any better than values in the attachment below. It makes sense but I haven't heard too many people run into this? Basically I need to move k member closer to passenger side of car.

Do you guys know of a scatter sheild that works well with the t56? I imagine I'm in need of a helmet as well.

I spent the xtra coin on a SFI balancer. Not sure that I really need it. Pends on how **** tech is. I imagine they are pretty ****. What else am I missing as far as safety upgrades? I put LS1 brake in while I was at it. Still need to put the C6 lines in.

Thanks

KJA

McLeod just came out with a SFI bellhousing and will cost you around 800 I think. Probably going to be a wait too. Never had a problem with the k-member either. I'm not sure how snug the locating pins are, but you might see if there is room for wiggle. I would take it to another shop first though.

Thats a good plan. I bought lifetime alignment at any firestone. So maybe I go to a diff shop and see if they have better luck. Their definately seemed to be alot of slop even with the locators in place. So at this point I'm not going to say they were wrong but we'll see what this other shop comes up with.

looks like some pretty good #'s.

I would invest in a Walbro 255 plug-n-play kit and thens oem hands on dyno tuining.

The 12 bolt is not helping the dyno #'s any but it is required if you are gonna abuse it at the tracka nd still drive home as opposed to being trailered.

Do you have a lt wt spool or heavy *** posi unit in the rear end?

For safety upgrades you'll want a driveshaft loop also. You'll have to have anyways if your running slicks at Bandimere. Another M6 LT1 383 with 430 RWhp I know of is running consistant 12.4s at Bandi so you should be in that range.

Only MAC's I know of for our cars are 1 5/8 mid length headers so he should pick up some if he is able to switch. Might have to deal with visual emissions though in his area so maybe LT's are out of the question.

Cool

They are no longer MACs. They are JETHOT LT's with Flowmaster Scavenger Y tacked into the old POS (stock) catback with Flowmaster 40Series.

It was interesting that the 1st run ran very lean and only 406rwhp. 2nd and 3rd runs were both near 426rwhp. 3rd run with cutout open really didn't help much?? It helped but on this scale it was a very small difference, only 3 or 4 hp max. I still haven't gotten the file from him yet, I'm sure he forgot.

Also, Hands on Dyno Tune for sure. What do you mean by oem?

Why the Walbro? I really haven't researched the pumps at all, so not being a smart *** really just don't know much about them.

94FBrd - Good call on the loop - thanks for the reminder. Thats another reason I didn't go this weekend - wasn't ready - besides it being crowded as a ****. O'l Doug at the tech shack is a great dude but he can be grumpy!

I'll be sure to post once I get a couple of runs in!

Thanks again guys.

So 12.4 or better is a goal. Thanks for the input here.

Palehorse, maybe you can make it to the April 27 'Street Machine Showdown.' I'll be there with my teal 94 Formula running in King Street. If so, stop by and say "HI."

Question

I may be traveling that weekend. But if not I will be there. Thanks for the heads up.

I'm sure we've run into eachother before. Do you race StickShift?

So, is this alignment problem with or without the brackets? If w/out then has the car been hit or is it lowered?

Where is the cutout on your exhaust? I am shocked that it only made 3-4rwhp over the flowmaster / stock Ipipe setup. My car picked up nearly 33rwhp over a similar exhaust when I opened cutouts right after the headers.
