That's what my motor consists of. I am hoping for a 400rwhp+ car.
isn't performance increase in the same boat as hp/torque increase?
also, i could be wrong, but isn't a 383 bore and a 355 bore both .30 over? just get the more cubes from the 383 fron going with the 3.75 crank rather than the 3.49 right?
also, i had le2 heads/le1 cam and ran 12.80 with a 1.9 60 ft. and one of my cylinders was not firing correctly, when i fixed it, i was beating my buddy's 12.5 (street tire ) car..so you will have no problems seeing low 12's on that combo. as said before, get some traction behind that biatch!

I would recomend Hyper-eutectic pistons:
-there light weight
-stronger than cast almost as strong as forged
-cheaper than forged
-they have a smaller expansion rate which equals smaller clearances.
-less noise b/c of reduced piston slap, low to no blow by...
in otherwords a great street piston.

When people change to a 355 from a 350...its usually b/c the piston walls are scored or are out of specs. Its the easiest way just do a rebuild with out stroking it. You will only gain like 5hp, and change your compression ratio slightly. As for a piston...I went with spealedpower forged. Thier a great piston for a basic rebuild. Plus they wont hurt your pocket.
Re: le1 with a 355?
Depends if you do it right, there is a easy 20hp or more in the bottom end. It's not the cubes but taking advantage of every little thing.
ALWAYS have the bores deglazed by a enging shop with a hone, don't go slapping pistons in a stock bore with the stock 100,000 hone job. No way to seal the rings perfectly.
