LCA question

I'm planning on running BMR boxed LCAs but I have a question before I purchase them. Will boxed LCAs work when running big slicks at the track or do I need to get adjustable tubular LCAs for this, or will boxed work fine. Are boxed mostly used for street tire use at the track ? I'm new to suspension set ups so if I left anything important out please feel free to let me know and I will answere. Thanks for your help guys!!

P.S. this set up will be on a 94 Z28

go with the boxed lcas. I am running slicks and lakewood lcas(they are boxed) and they work just fine. Tubular is not as strong anyway.

I highly doubt anyone on this board would have a problem with tubular lca's . I've got spohn chromoly tubular lca's on my car no problem. The same lca's are on cars running 9's with no problems.

George Baxter ran 9.04@155mph, 1.33 60-ft time in a 3,900# convertible, and he did it using Spohn tubular LCA's. Spohn is building him a new set of tubular LCA's, as he ups the HP and lowers the weight in his quest for LOW 8's.......

Tubular LCA's are fine for just about any purpose. The box section arms tend to be a lot heavier, and if they are wider, can limit how far you can offset the arms in the stock mounts to make room for very wide slicks....

Generally, you do not need "adjustable" LCA's. The only real use would be to relocate the axle front-to-rear in the wheel openings.... I had to move the axle back about 1/4" to keep 28" slicks from hitting the sheet metal at the front of the wheel openings when they grew at trap speeds over 125MPH. And I use Spohn tubular LCA's
