Lash setting techniques for Sollid Roller

spent several minutes searching for how ppl set there lash on a sollid roller cam. I found hundreds on how to do hydrolics, but not a single post with sollid roller

I ask this becuz i am having trouble.

I use a feeler gauge, take it in and out while hand tighting the nut untill its get hard to remove the feeler gauge. then i tightin the allen and then the nut. but ushally its still come out to tight or too loose.

I could adjust my hydrolic in maybe 15 mins, so far the fastes i have don tthe sollid is like 1.5 hours!!! grrrrr
frustrating

I don't know what the problem is so I will just give you my .02.

Warm car up if you are doing a hot lash.

Hook up remote starter w/coil wire off.

Start with either front cylinder and work your way towards rear of first bank.

Have someone bump starter until EXHAUST just starts to open and adjust the INTAKE valve.

Bump engine over again until the intake valve opens fully and continue until it's roughly half closed. Set the Exhaust valve.

Complete the first four on one bank.

Run the engine again to rewarm it again and move to the other bank.

Use feeler gauge between rocker arm and valve tip. The clearance should be correct when you can feel a solid tug on the feeler gauge.JMHO
