knocking cat...

if i remove the cat what do i need to do? is it just as simple as getting a O2 simulator to solve the problem or will there be more required than that?

the reason i'm asking about removing it is b/c one of my friends ran over a speed bump at probably 40-50mph and it has started knocking....and has become really annoying..TIA

Re: knocking cat...

You would have to replace the cat with a pipe and the get rear o2 sim's or just have them programed out from someone like madz28.com

He has an OBD-I 94 - it doesn't have after-cat O2 sensors, so there is nothing at all required if the cat is deleted. You don't need O2 simulators because there is no after-cat sensors.

'94's don't have after cat O2 sensors; it's an OBDI car. No need for O2 sims.
