Do you have the LT4 Knock Module? If not, try that first, it's easy and cheap.

If you can hear knock... the solution is not the LT4 KM.... that's the cure for "false" knock, not the cure for "real" knock.

First, make sure it is engine knock you are hearing, and not the exhaust system hitting on something.... header tube on the steering shaft, IM pipe on the g-load brace, etc. If you can rule out mechanical noise external to the engine, good chance you have a problem. If you can hear knock, that means that either the KS/PCM is not picking it up, or not responding correctly, or that it is so severe that even when the PCM pulls all the timing that it is allowed to pull, there is still a problem.

Try the highest octane unleaded fuel you can find (100 preferred) and see it that eliminates the problem. Get a scanner on it and see how much knock the KS is picking up, and how much advance the PCM is pulling.
