knock sensor unpluged bad thing??
knock sensor unpluged bad thing??
so ive been having some problems with some false knock an thought about just unplugging the sensor. is there a problem with doin this? i unpluged it an took the car out an it seems that im still having some knock retard show up through my scan master. whats wrong?
Unplugging it will give you even more retard. The computer with throw a trouble code and automatically retard spark by maybe as much as 10°. Unplugging sensors is a bad way to troubleshoot a computer controlled car.
It's not uncommon to see a little retard, even if there is no knock count escalating.

ok well im gonna plug it back in then, just wierd though. the knock retard doesnt start low an climb with the rpm it starts at like lets say 5 degrees then i shoots to 12 then back down to 8 then to 11 an continues to bounce like that under wot???
