Knock Sensor Troubleshooting
i've been getting a considerable amount of knock retard,,,so i started trouble shooting per my GM manual. Did a couple of tests for it....the one has me wondering though.......Using a ohms meter, from the center pin of the knock sensor to the block.....i believe the manual says 93-107 ohms.....when i test mine, meter is all over the place, never settles down to get an acurate reading.from like 50 ish ohms to 300's....
Is this knock sensor bad or do all of them read out like this??

not sure, but I am going through the same thing. My meter was fried so I send the wife to get a new one for me. I have about 10deg of knock, even with a stock tune and 93.

does it bounce like that when not hooked to anything?
