can i get rid of opti?

Alright, so i am redoing my engine and would LOVE to get rid of the optispark - is there anyway to totally get rid of it- and runa diffesrent distributor system?

look into coil packs. They are expensive though.

You still use the optical part of the opti with the coil packs. The only way that I know of to completely get rid of the opti is to have your intake machined to accept a traditional distributor and/or have a crank trigger with an aftermarket ECU.

Any idea who does the machine work?

-I know LT1 intake .com can do it but i thought this was only possible on a pre - 4th gen car. I dont know if the spinner will fit under there

I just want this opti off yesterday
