knock sensor and obd1 conversion???

i read somewhere that doing an obd1 conversion requires swapping the knock sensor.i was under the impression that all i had to do is change the senor out from my obd2 cpu to my new obd1 cpu.im doing the pacesetter lts with no egr and air also so other than the tuning is there anything else i should know when doing the swap.also i have the cc306 and bryan from pcmforless says the obd1 cpu and swapping the slps to lts will give a nice gain??

If you are buying his conversion kit, you don't need to do anything. If you do have an LT4 knock module in your OBD2, you can swap it over to the conversion kit you will get. If you are doing the conversion on your own (your own OBD1 PCM, not a modified one) then yes, you will also need to change your knock sensor.

Re: knock sensor and obd1 conversion???

That will only work on 2 knock sensor cars.

EDIT: the text instructions will work for an F-body, but you don't have to change the oxygen sensors.
