iv been doing alot of research for the cam install that im getting ready to install. the cam is the gm847 and i think the comp 987's are only good to about .600 and i think i may need alittle more lift? i read that alot of guys are using the kmotion k-800's. how much more lift will these hold? how hard are they to set up with the shims vs. any other valve spring?

 

1.460'' diameter double Silicon spring. Valve lift up to .600''. 155# @ 1.850'' closed, 450# @ 1.150'' open, coil bind @ 1.085''.

so with a lift that looks to be the same are the k-800's really any more safe to run then the 987's?

 

depending on the installed height, those springs can be good to ~.700" lift

 

so these sound like a good spring to run with the gm847 and comp r lifters then?
