Re: CC 306 QUESTIONS From people who have done them

this cam is awesome, great power!comp cams suggests their 987 spring w/associated retainers and keepers, hardened pushrods, new timing chain Lt4 or aftermarket.as for the rockers 1.5 or 1.6 pro-forms,comp magnums, crane are my top choices(not in order)it would be better if you had the heads ported and have 2.00 1.56 valves installed, svo 24lb inj.,larger volume fuel pump(255lph),Lt headers 1-3/4s,3000+stall if auto and a pcm tune, the gains from this set up are awesome it will take you into the mid to lo 12's from stock times add some gear and seat time you may dip into the 11's all these times are ON TIRE this set up will more than likely not be emission freindly .it will pass if you use a little less cam,say in the 218-236 @.050 range.

anything is better than stock manifolds. While you will see more power from longtubes over shorties, shorties are usually easier to install and don't require custom exhaust. and generally they are cheaper.
