Damn it. I trapped 102~103 but could never hook enough to get out of the 14s. Car broke before I could go back Thats a good ET for a 2.0 60ft and that mph.

*Edit* I thought you were stock cam. (I trapped 103mph on stock cam, manifolds, 2200 stall and other mods listed in sig).. something isnt right..

LT4 Knock Module? I wonder if you are picking up knock on the top end.

Yea, it seemed that he was off a few mph from what i've seen of similar setups. Could have been the weather though. figure a 105 trap is about 300rwhp. seems within normal range..but a little on the low side. a dyno would help see what is goin on.

Well you have to keep in mind that he is an auto... That robs power.. Although i trapped 107.xx's with mids and a hotcam BEFORE my dynotune. I picked up 29 rwhp off of a tune and i should be trapping about 110's now. I definitely think it helps that my car is a geared M6 though... It pulls really nicely up top, even pull on LS1's..

Re: Just went to the track..How do I get better Top End??

Maybe the car needs a tune. That MPH is very low for an LT1 w/ aftermarket cam. Your car should trap 104 with boltons and stock cam and heads. My car is a 6spd WS.6 and it did 108mph w/ stock cam and heads, so a hotcam should get you around 108-109 w/ a decent tune in an auto or more.

The only way to get more mph is get more HP as stated above.

Re: Just went to the track..How do I get better Top End??

I know its pretty low. I do have the LT4 KM though. ALSO! My car has been running a bit funny ever since the tune. Idle's kind strange, also my AF gauge looks like its playin ping pong. AND I think possible my torque converter may have gone bad, because at some times the car shutters and I can hear the drive train shuttering with it, when I hit the break *dissengages the TC's clutch* the car stopps shuttering. So my car keeps having one prob after another. Last time I was at the track my car was running constant 13.4's, I was throwin codes and ****, and I blew a hose. So god only knows whats wrong with her.I'm still waiting to bring her back to FLP.

if you have a way to monitor see if its running real rich up top. i turned my fuel pressure up when i first got my regulator and that was a mistake. i started backing it down n watching my scanmaster and ended up dropping .3 and it ran consistent 13.40's NA...lol now if i can just get it fired up with my heads n cam ill be happy

I didn't see where you had a CAI in your sig. Buy one asap. Also, consider going back to a stock MAF. I hear of a lot of problems with ported ends but some people swear by it. I don't like "hacks" that lie to the pcm and it seems to work. I still run stock tb, pulleys and MAF. With only bolt ons, I trap 111-112(et sucks though).

I thought your car didn't fall off. Picked up 21 mph after the 1/8. That is about normal right? I have seen some pick up only 18. Mine picks up 27 for some reason.

Your top-end is very typical for a stock lt. Our cars are very torquey and somewhat weak on the top. Check out what a 50 dry shot does for me in sig. Bang for the buck - you can't beat it!

Sorry, I didn't see that you had the hotcam kit installed. I would look at tuning. You should be trapping 109 - 112 with that cam. I still think that n2o is the best bang for the buck once you get your combo straightened out.
