I had an old time up on a hoist a while back. I was amazed! This thing had all sorts of channel iron etc in it, and the thing almost folded double when lifted. If the doors hadn't been closed I am almost certain that it would have folded.

The old cars were AWFUL!

I remember when putting on the granatelli subframes, it was a big difference. These are very high quality connectors, don't know if you can get them anymore. The BMR stuff is awesome, I have their driveshaft loop and it is really nice.
If you think subframe connectors make a big difference, a roll bar or cage even makes a bigger one! It will make the body very stiff indeed.
