Well I just got back, my runs were pretty bad. But whenever I launched, I heard a huge thump from aroudn the rear end. Also, my TC is stallin up at around 1800 rpm not 2800. ALSO at around 40 MPH my car starts to shutter, somthign with the drive train I think. I can hear the yoke of the DS like knocking, like there is power being engauged and dissengauged. Help

 

I had a similar thump once, and was the transmission mount. Might want to check on that.

When you are launching there is no support there so the tranny is hitting the underside of the car, and the "shutter" is prolly the tranny rubbing up against the underside of the car.

 

If I look under the car, what should i look for to see if its broken?

 

Gotta take it out to see if it's broken. Look at that big rubber piece sandwiched between the tranny and the crossmember, that's the tranny mount.

 

Had the same thing happen to my tranny mount too. When getting on it, it would bang real hard on the floorboard. Cheap and easy fix
