aside from doing a lot of engine work such as heads and cam.. of course it would have to be done. But here in texas a stock LT1 A4 we will say hits 13.9. With this set up (non engine work yet) what would it run?

1)moser or ford read, gear ratio around 433s
2)4400 stall
3)beefed up tranny
4) and tuned for the tranny and what not
what would it hit?

kinda off topic yea, but it is more of my dream to do all non engine related hit a sweet time then do engine to really kick some nuts!!

Maybe low 13's.

Nitrous cars make a lot of rwtq and hold it. Strokers can also do, but from what I have seen, drop off faster than a n2o combo.

Your talking a whole new combo going from high 11's to high 10' s. Does not sound like much, but if your in the high 11 sec car, you would think your parking brake is on racing the high 10 sec car.

My plan of attack to get solidly in the 10's on motor.

AFR LT4 220 heads,
389" stroker (4.063" bore)
big solid roller,
compression,
42lb injectors,
4400 stall,
gear,
less weight,
most bolt -ons,
lotsa tuning,
hard *** launch and hope nothing breaks.

Then I deal with tech.

If you get the car hooked up, it shouldnt be terribly difficult or expensive IMO. GreenBean has a relatively cheap 355 LT1 shortblock, an untouched LT1 intake, some fully ported LT1's, and a HR cam he drives daily...

Should go high 10's when we fix the miss & get it up in the 425-430rw sae range. With it cutting out above 6200-6300rpm (411rwhp sae @ that point), it's gone 1.64 11.41 @ 119.5 w/ interior/sound deadening/etc. in it, so we're looking forward to some full power runs .

Head to the local track, there should be at least a few guys who know how to make a car run .

I agree, I think Grean's car will do what he wants it to do once he gets the miss fixed. But in the meantime, can you email me and lets discuss his set up?

Jordon is running a T-88 turbo using a dynaspark these days.

Are we talking N/A or power adder? With some giggle gas it's easy. Most important thing IMO to do it with or without power adder is to have a drivtrain and drag suspension to support VERY quick launches. Basically, 4000+ stalled TH400, 9 inch, drag shocks or airbags etc. If you are staying stock suspension, upgrade all major components. Getting traction is the key to going fast. All those freak cars like Atljars LT1 w/ GM 847 running high 11 are not freaks, they just went to the track at the right time and know how to launch the car.
