Just dies whats up with that??

Just dies whats up with that??

Well went out to move my car over to make room in the garage and I backed it out starter fine then I tried to back it back in and it just died and check gages light came on it cranks up and starts for a second than just dies what could be the problem?

^^^x2 make sure u have gas in the tank. if yes then listen for the fuel pump coming on when u first turn on the key. if yes then check fuel pressure. if good check for spark at the plugs. if good then pick up a noid light for the injectors and see if there getting told to fire fuel to the cylinders. try and let us know what u find.

It has a little above half a tank so i dont think thats it and it has new spark plugs and wires.

You indicated the "check gauges" light came on - that's what led me to ask about the fuel. The check gauges light would only come on if one of the gauges was out of acceptable operating range. What does the voltage gauge read?

Or do you possibly mean the "SES" light was on? If so, check for codes.

it started back up but has a rough idle and it was the check gages light on befor all this the ses light would pop onon from time to time didnt look at the voltage ill check that today.

Pull the codes. If "the ses light would pop onon from time to time", the code is still stored in the PCM, unless you cleared it.
