I have just recieved my Joe Overton Cam a few days ago. I do have specs on it, but those will never be told period. Joe had told me that there would be big gains in torque and hp with his cam versus my 236/242 XE grind.

DanK will also be doing my tuning for me . I think this cam will require more adjustments than most cams, and I think Dan will be up for the challenge .

The cam wont be put in until the first week of March, as the car is still in storage. Anyway, numbers will be posted as soon as I get them.

Who's Joe Overton?

I think I got the first cam and he may have improved upon it already. One thing you can count on with Joe is that there's always "more in it"

Joe tuned my car over the phone while I punched in the keystrokes. Took about 3-4 pulls and we were done.

EDIT: As for my mods I have all bolt-ons, FLP LT's, Borla, Meziere WP, ported LT4 intake, 1.6 RR, 58mm TB, 3.73's and 17" ZR1's w/275's on all 4 corners which I didn't have before when I ran 12.95 @ 109. I gained .93 and close to 8 mph over my previous best which I was already running H&C (same heads (unported) and a cc306).

When I first talked to Joe, he mentioned you and your car several times. You are Gary right??? When Joe and I were talking about compression, he said you have somewhere around 10:1, am I right?? Well since mine has 11.9:1 compression, he came up with a newer more aggressive cam. Supposedly, the one Joe made for me is the most aggressive cam he has done for an LT1 mainly cause of my compression. I am hoping that it makes the power and torque Joe is hoping for. For the tuning, Dan K will be doing it, but I think Joe has a program for us to try back to back with our program we come up with. He just wants to see how close his program is to ours. We will see what happens I guess.

Once March rolls around, the cam will be going in along with a 58mm TB, new comp R lifters, springs and a Canton oil pan.

Yes I am Gary. Joe set my cam up for my heads and setup and he's doing the same for you, I wouldn't expect anything less from him. That guy is always working looking for that little extra, it doesn't matter who's car he's working on. I think you will be very pleased with the results especially with your compression (you were correct about mine).

You are correct, Joe is looking for every last drop of power he can. And yes he did design the cam to my heads and my current setup. I told him I will drive any cam he designs on the street, so I told him I can tolerate anything he makes . I personally love driving big cammed cars on the street, and I think this new one will be pretty radical. How does your car drive on the street?? How does it idle, and problems that I should watch out for when I get the cam put in?? Joe told me it would actually drive better on the street than my current 236/242 XE cam.

I will also refrain from giving out the cam specs on this cam too. There is no reason in giving out the specs for this cam since it is designed for my car, and I paid the money for Joe to design me a cam. I think you feel the same way, even though you got flamed for not giving out the specs on yours, right?? Well it was nice talkin to ya Gary.

Sounds good all. I should have my Lloyd Elliot heads and Joe O. cam in about a month. I'll post my numbers also.
