Re: Jet-Hot LT's or Hooker LT's???

I have non-emission Coated Hooker Longtubes. I debated what brand longtubes to go with for quite sometime, like 6-9 months. Hooker has been around a long time and I feel has the most experience in longtubes out of all of those companies. They dont copy header designs, their header designed get copied if that tells you anything. Plus my Hooker LT install when very easily, I was spooked about installing them, until I found that they slipped in after a matter of seconds. I could never complain about how the install went, no motor jacking and we had the car in jackstands at the lowest setting. It was harder tightening the header bolts than it was fitting in those Hookers. I say Hookers, plus everyone in my family who knows about Camaro's said get Hookers, they have been at it forever.

You won't be disappointed with either one, both are manufacturered with the highest quality standards. People will argue over which has better performance characteristics and some will swear that one makes a noticable amount more HP over the other, but in actuality they are almost equal in all aspects. The fact that they are both long tube headers with 1-3/4" primary tubes and of almost equal length is what is most important. Best performance will be achieved with this sytle of header as apposed to the mid or short length sytle headers. Most people who install something other than long tube headers eventually switch to LTs as they progress with there mods. Both Hooker and Jet Hot offer LT headers with or without emissions hook-ups, so that should not be a concern. Aftermarket hi-flow cats can be easily added after the collector flange if this is a requirement on your vehicle. Great choice of performance improvement for any vehicle.

Thats weird. I once heard that Jet-Hot buys their LT's from Hooker and just puts their coating on them and sell them as Jet-Hots. Anyone else heard this. Seriously

Not sure how you would explain the thicker flanges...unless they only buy the tube assemblies. Essentially they are the same, just pick one.
