Re: Jet-Hot LT's or Hooker LT's???

I purchased the Hooker Longtubes with Jet Hot Coating, 02 bungs. They look awesome for what they are. I havent had a chance yet to install them due to the fact that I am building a forged 355 at the moment to go into my camaro. But I am very impressed with the quality of welds etc. They are top notch!

For some reason I find the hookers easier to work around (plug changes), the slip fits actually seal up, but they do hang a little lower. Also, the jet hots come with emissions fittings, have better ground clearance, are made with thicker walls, and have a better coating. I would still take the hookers personally and that's why they are on my car. I can almost garuntee about 10 people will suggest jet hots, your choice.

I'm really happy with my new coasted pacesetters. If I had to make the choice again I'd do Pacesetters. I know the comany has a junk reputation, but they have done a great job on their new longtubes, nice welds, and a good design with no slip fit primary (that will leak)

Re: Jet-Hot LT's or Hooker LT's???

I have had the Hooker Long Tubes (ordered from summit) for about 2 years now. I use the gaskets and bolts they gave me, and i have had no problems such as exhaust leaks this whole time theyve been on the car. I have scraped them on dips and on speed bumps, but that is to be expected. Performance was amazing with them. I gained a good bit of power with that and my tuning. Id say go for the hookers.

PACE SETTERS!!!!, ive had mine for a few months and love em. I get complements on them whenever people look into the engine compartment. Did I mention the big money savings also.

Re: Jet-Hot LT's or Hooker LT's???

another pace setter person checking in!! i havent installed mine yet due to the hole in the motor, but they look good, welds look pretty decent, and the coating looks good. the only down fall is that there not equal length the tubes are pretty straight through, looks like its gonna have nice plug access also.

Re: Jet-Hot LT's or Hooker LT's???

I don't have LT's and i really don't want them, as i'm happy with my SLP's. I've been on the board for a while now and i always try to read up on new stuff. If i had to go with them, this is the order of the ones i would choose best to worst.

Pacesetter- They are cheap, good quality and the installs don't seem to bad,
and they don't have a slip fit primary.
Hookers- Most expensive of the ones listed but the fit and install on these are suppose to be the best. The only reason i would choose the pacesetters over these is the slip fit primary.
Jet hots- these are cheaper than Hookers but i've read of a lot of hellish installs on these, and having to grind on the tranny crossmember to be able to hook up exhaust.

Jet Hots here and I really like em. No install horror stories either. Also there were no emissions fittings.
