Jet-Hot Install Jacking up Motor.

Where is the motor mount that I remove to jack up the motor. Which bolt do I remove?? I plan on using a piece of wood that extends from the tranny to the oil pan with me jacking on the tranny area to prevent the pan from bending inward. Any Advice?

There are three bolts on the mount, about 1/2 way through the block on the passenger side that you have to undo, then that will let the engine go. They are kinda hard to get to, but not impossible.

Yeah take out the horizontal one. It has a long 5 or 6" bolt youll need to take out. Just take it out and jack the motor up 3-4".

Current Situation: Couldn't find the horizontal bolt so I loosened the 3 obvious ones. Jacked up the motor from the tranny. It still won't go in. The last primary's flange is hitting a head bolt and won't go in. Question is..

Do I jack from only the oil pan with a piece of wood across the pan? And if so, do I jack from the center of the pan or to the right as to get the right of the motor to go up more? And, if I loosen the 3 bolts, it should be enough for me to jack up the motor enough to put in the headers?

Thanks in Advance. Please if you have experience, Let me know.

Do you have the whole car up as much as you can?
I put a couple 2x4s on the jack, and jacked it up from the oil pan. It was pretty hard to get it very far, but I did just enough to get the header in.
Also try different ways of putting it in, i.e. turning it and lifting, and stuff like that.
Good luck man.
