My passenger side header hits my K-member as well. It's not too bad, but if you sit in the passenger seat while driving... you can definately FEEL the floor chattering. It is really annoying sometimes. I have enough squeaks and rattles as it is.. I don't need one more!

Next time I change my oil.. I'm going to check it out and maybe grind a bit off the K-member. Or just wedge some header wrap as suggested already

It works like a champ, but now I think I have to find a way to secure the header wrap as it fell out after a couple months.

i installed my hooker lt's and had no installation problems or clearance issues. i did have to jack the motor up to get the passenger in but that only took about and extra 20 min.

I just can't believe it when I hear people say they installed their LTs in no time. Mine were A MAJOR PITA. I had the heads off and the drivers side was still tight, amazing.

Wait... you had your heads off? So you slipped the headers in, the put the heads on and bolted it up? Cuz if you bolted the headers to your heads, then slipped them on together, now THAT would be a PITA

Did you slip the headers in from the bottom? My driver side slid right up. My passenger side I had to jack up the motor.. but big deal.. takes 10 min. Then another 10 to slip the header in etc...

it took me goofing around and showing someone how to take out my edlecbrocks about 6 hours of work time (taking out the edelbrocks plus installing the long tubes). the hardest thing was tightening the header bolts! no clearance issues that i know of yet but i hardly ever drive my car.

Yea, one of the exhaust manifold bolts was broken off in the drivers side head. So I took them both off, had a valve job done on both and had the bolt hole Helicoiled (sp). But I put the drivers header in without the head on and it was still a pita. I've put headers on about 4 different of my trans am/formulas, and this one was amazingly harder. But whatever its done. At least everythings all clean and freshly painted.

I just finished last week with my JEt Hot Install and It took me a good amount of time because I made sure everything was perfect. I changed out all my mounts (motor, tranny) with poly mounts. My car only has 70,000 on it and the passenger side was really saggy looking. I have read many posts on here where people changing to poly mounts fixed the problem. GOOD LUCK
