Jet Hot coated intake

I'm wanting to Jet Hot coat my intake on my next car. I was wondering since the coating is meant to keep heat in, would it hurt performance any ? Also, would the coating take to iceing it at the track very well for cooling ? Thanks guys!!

Can't help you out much here but i remember reading a post a long time ago about a company that coats LT1 intakes and they coat the inside with a certain coating and the outside with another.

I doubt you would see ANY difference in performance by coating the intake by Jet hot. It has so much surface area touching the heads that it'll still get a lot of heat soaked into it. I just don't think it would be worth the money unless you were doing it just for looks. Even then I'd rather have it powder coated.

Have it powdercoated instead. The LT1 manifold stays plenty cool.

Yea I was really only doing it for looks, I think it would look sweet. I also thought about powdercoating but just wanted to be a little diff. Then I started thinking about if I was to jet hot it, would it keep alot of heat built up inside it. That's the last thing I want.

Interesting, I didn't know that...that might be the best option for me.
